ADSL — «Ideal» internet access

We offer high-speed connection to the Internet backbone through the KazTransCom's
telephone network-based standard telephone line.

Connection to the Internet network is ensured through a standard telephone line using an effective high-speed ADSL technology (Asymmetric Digital Subscribers' Lines). ADSL modems maintain speeds at up to 8 Mb/s for the incoming traffic (from the network to the subscriber) and up to 1 MB/s for the outgoing traffic (from the subscriber to the network). An ADSL modem connection does not «seize» the telephone line, thereby allowing the subscriber to simultaneously speak over the telephone and work in the Internet. Rating is made in accordance with the volume of data received. The service is available only if an Ethernet card* is installed in the customer's computer. * Ethernet card is to be acquired and installed by the customer himself.

VDSL internet access in Astana

We offer connection to the provider's Internet backbone at speeds ranging from 128 Kbit/s to Mb/s. The connection is ensured through a standard telephone line using Symmetric Digital Subscribers' Lines (VDSL), an effective high-speed technology. Owing to a VDSL modem connection during an Internet session, the telephone line remains free for the incoming and outgoing calls. Hence, the use of the VDSL technology allows simultaneous telephone calls and work in the Internet.

The Internet access using the VDSL technology can be achieved on the basis of the KazTransCom telephone network. To provide the said service, KazTransCom's specialists install a VDSL modem (Cisco LRE) into the subscriber's computer. The service is available only if an Ethernet card* is installed in the customer's computer. * Ethernet card is to be acquired and installed by the customer himself.

Internet access through a dedicated line

We offer high-speed connection to the provider's Internet backbone through a dedicated data communication line, which can be arranged for this purpose.

Interconnection of corporate networks of offices, branches and departments of various companies and organizations to the Internet network through a dedicated data communication line arranged by KazTransCom guarantees the effective and functional use of the Internet capabilities subject to the demands assigned thereto. The range of tasks solvable by means of the Internet is manifold and includes the search of necessary information, browsing of necessary websites, downloading of files of various volumes, use of E-mail and multimedia applications (for instance, holding video-conferences) and may others.

We can arrange dedicated lines with the data throughput ranging from 64 Kbit/s up to 2048 Knit/s at a pitch of 64 Kbit/s. Rating is made in accordance with the channel throughput rates both with and without regard to the volume of data received.

The Internet access through a dedicated line provides a highly reliable permanent high-speed connection of an office LAN to the provider's Internet backbone. Internet connection through a dedicated line is recommended for large LANs.

To be able to use the said services, a customer must have a local area network router with various interfaces for connecting the channeling equipment (RS-232, V.35, Ethernet 10/100 Mbit/s).
